Wyldecrest Parks Charitable Trust are running the Goodwood 10k at the world famous Goodwood Motor Circuit, home to the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival.
We are supporting two amazing causes both extremely vital to the lives of many people throughout the county of Essex.
The causes which we have chosen to support this year are – the Rainbow Trust (Essex) and Contact the Elderly (Thurrock).
Contact The Elderly is supported by a network of volunteers spread across the country. The charity organises monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties for small groups of older people aged 75 and over who are dealing with loneliness and social isolation. Supported by a nationwide network of over 11,000 volunteers, Contact The Elderly organises free social events, where most community services for older people are not available.
Rainbow Trust supports these families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness and are in the greatest need. Their Family Support Workers provide a life line to these families and children. They support the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents. They bring support and help to families who so desperately need it at home, in hospital and in the community.
I along with various members of the Wyldecrest Parks team have pledged support to the amazing work being done by these charities. We are kicking off the fundraising with 10k run and any help in supporting this cause will be much appreciated!
